Synthesis and electrochemical study of the first tetrazolate hexanuclear rhenium cluster complex

The linkage isomers [Re_6Se_8(PEt_3)_5(1,5-MeN_4C)]~+ and [Re_6Se_8(PEt_3)_5(2,5-MeN_4C)]~+ were generated upon reaction of tetrabutylammonium azide with the corresponding acetonitrile complex, [Re_6Se_8(PEt_3)_5(NCCH_3)]~(2+); these are the first (tetra-zolato)rhenium complexes reported to date.
