A severely interrupted (4,2)-connected niobium phosphate, Na_(13)Nb_3P_6O_(28)F_2, with a unique 6.12-net topology sheet and novel structure type has been synthesized under mild hydro-thermal conditions, and its ion exchange properties preliminarily investigated.
