Schwenk Zement (Bild 1) setzt den Hebel beim Anwen-der an und hat mit Catenic Anafee eine von SAP zertifizierte Lösung im Einsatz, die die verursachergerechte Verrechnung von IT-Leistungen, darunter zahlreiche SAP-Transaktionen, gewährleistet. Schwenk Zement (Fig. 1) gets things moving in the field of users by applying Catenic Anafee, a software solution certified by SAP, which ensures billing of IT services including numerous SAP transactions according to the causation principle. The high transparency results in an economic handling of IT resources and helps one of the big German suppliers of cement and building materials to further optimize the IT strategy as well as business processes. Schwenk Zement succeeded in continuously reducing the operating expenses by means of various measures of restructuring the operational procedures and IT systems. However, this saving potential had been exhausted. A new starting point was the cost-conscious use of IT services that was impeded by the traditional clearing system. Gerhard Kaminski, area director of IT/ORG at Schwenk Zement, explained, "our old system of allocation of cost was based on target figures, which we apportioned among the workplaces on a flat-rate basis for the year to come"
