Turnover in the German building and building-materials machinery industry is set to rise by more than 12%, to 9.7 billion ?, this year. The background to this pleasing development is the still flourishing level of exports. Foreign sales are expected to increase by 17%, to nearly 7.2 billion ?, by the end of the year. As the Chairman of the Construction Equipment and Building Material Machinery Association within VDMA, Dr. Christof Kemmann, continued at the press conference in the context of the association's meeting of members, exports thus make up around 74% of overall business. Der Grund dafür ist das weiterhin florierende Exportgeschäft. Bis zum Jahresende werden sich die Ausfuhren um 17% auf fast 7,2 Mrd. ? erhöhen. Wie Dr. Christof Kemmann, Vorsitzender des Fachverbandes Bau- und Bau-stoffmaschinen im VDMA, auf der Pressekonferenz anlässlich der Mitgliederversammlung des Fachverbandes weiter sagte, liege die Exportquote damit bei 74%. Im Vorjahr waren es noch 71%.
