Slags - production and use

The 5th European Slag Conference, organized by EUROSLAG - the European Slag Association, took place in the Conference Centre at Kirchberg/Luxembourg from 19th to 21st September 2007 (Fig. 1). With about 240 participants the conference was well attended (Fig. 2). As a rule this event takes place biennially. Heribert Motz and the FEhS - Building Material Institue, Duisburg/Germany, was in charge of the organization of the conference. International experts reported on the production, quality control and the use of various types of slags.
