Cenelec and Esmig sign Cooperation Agreement

Cenelec (the European Committee for Electrotechnical Standardization) and Esmig (European Smart Metering Industry Group) have signed a cooperation agree-rnment to create standardized tools for energy consumption optimisation in Europe.rnThey recognise the value of cooperating in all fields of electrotechnical standardization that are directly or indirectly related to Smart Metering technologies. Contributions by Esmig to establish and promote consensus on proposed draft specifications will contribute to the ongoing European effort to harmonize Smart Metering activities and specifications. This will foster interoperability and innovation while ensuring full support of the internal market objectives.
