New day rising: CDS President Alfred T. Bean sees the difference in the day

Newly installed as CDS president, Alfred T. Bean was born and raised in Chicago. He is a 1973 graduate from the University of Illinois College of Dentistry and is a general dentist practicing in the Loop. Long active in organized dentistry, Dr. Bean has served in all offices of the Kenwood/Hyde Park Branch, starting as vice president in 1984-85 and ending as president in 1988-89. In addition, Dr. Bean also served on a number of CDS committees, including as chairman of the Ethics Committee (1983-85); on the Speakers Bureau; Dialogue in Dentistry; the Intergroup Council (1989-91), of which he was president; and as a member of the Chicago Dental Society Midwinter Meeting General Arrangements Committee.
