摘要

Variation in approach distance and escape behaviours of three species of Cuban Anolis(A. allo- gus Cope, A. sagrei Dumeril and Bibron, and A. homolechis Barbour and Ramsden) were investigated in the field. After lizards were handled in their first trial, approach distances increased in successive trials, suggest- ing that the lizards learned quickly by negative reinforcement. Escape behavior was strongly influenced by microhabitat structure. Running to the opposite side of trunks (squirreling) was the most frequently observed method of escape.
