Atlas Air Worldwide Holdings (AAWW) reported second-quarter net income down 27.0% y-o-y to $23.8 million as total revenue declined 1.9% to $349.6 million, and operating income fell 40.6% to $37.6 million. The declines in income and revenue were less than was generally expected on Wall Street, and in fact the company says it expects strong performance for the remainder of the year and in 2012.
