Atlas air worldwide holdings took delivery of the sixth of nine 747-8Fs it has on order from Boeing (37571), and will operate it through Polar on an ACMI basis for DHL Express [FATs 000465, 466]. CATHAY PACIFIC took delivery of its eighth 747-8F (39246) from Boeing. Cathay has two more on firm order with Boeing [FAT 000488]. SOUTHERN AIR, which recently filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection, reportedly placed one of its four 747-400BDSFs (27044) in storage at Marana [FAT 000489].
