Visa brings contactless payments to Europe as it unveils Visa payWave

Visa Europe has unveiled Visa payWave as the name for its contactless payment technology. Visa said it conducted extensive, global consumer research to determine the best way of describing its contactless feature and chose Visa payWave because "wave" best describes the action at the point-of-sale, while "pay" reinforces the function of the card or payment device.
