Intercalation of sulphur with potassium into graphite

摘要

Intensive research concerning the intercalation into graphite of very large alkali metal amounts has been carried out in several laboratories in the world. In order to prepare some intercalation compounds with high alkali metal density, various means have been proposed successfully. The main following methods are: 1. intercalation of alkali metal hydrides, 2. intercalation of binary metallic alloys (alkali metal with mercury, thallium, bismuth, etc...), 3. intercalation of pure alkali metal at high pressure, 4. intercalation of alkali metal with oxygen or a halogen.
