Newly installed Micro CT Scanner could advance the field of carbon capture

The installation of a new Micro CT Scanner at Cur-tin University (Perth, Australia) is envisaged to further research the precise technical aspects of the geosequestration of CO_2. The Micro CT scanner is part of the AU$12.94 million research facilities that are to be installed at the university, and has been hailed by Curtin University as the most advanced technology in Australia for obtaining high-resolution physical detail of how CO_2 and other GHGs pass through a selected reservoir, at temperatures and pressures typical of GHG geosequestration conditions.
