Having caught rival car makers on the hop with the massively popular Qashqai crossover, it's perhaps no surprise that Nissan also wanted to shake up the smaller B-segment. And it certainly did that with the Juke. Usually the preserve of conventional offerings such as the Ford Fiesta, Renault Clio and Volkswagen Polo - along with the funkier MINI - Nissan redefined the sector with its high-riding small SUV. Buyers had been primed to expect something different with the unveiling of the Qazana concept in 2009, but no one really expected it to hit the market virtually unchanged. Yet that's exactly what happened, and while the looks of the production Juke were of the love-it-or-loathe-it variety there was no avoiding the impact it made compared to staid rivals.
