Wheeled in to replace the Xantia in 2001, Citroeen's C5 was bigger in every way and much more advanced. I'll get it out of the way now and say that they weren't perhaps as pretty, but the prices you can pick C5s up for now can act rather like beer goggles - this is an awful lot of very comfortable, clever and roomy car for the money.
