If you want to get the best out of your uprated suspension then ideally you should also uprate the suspension bushes, which in standard form are a compromise between handling and refinement. By opting for a harder poly (polyurethane) type you gain tighter chassis control but refinement invariably suffers. As the rear axle bushes were well worn on our car - and they're an MoT fail point - it made sense to replace them with these Superflex ones, rather than the pricey Audi ones. As well as being tougher, they last longer in service. Costing around £100, the Superflex bushes were straightforward, if laborious, to fit, as the old ones were well and truly seized in (a common problem) and had to be cut and chiselled out. Poly bushes certainly give the rear end a more rigid feel and complement the suspension kit nicely, although the ride and road noise is even more marked, which is not everybody's cup of tea.
