In its recent survey of summer tyres, Which? magazine has voted the Michelin Energy Saver as its Best Buy. The Energy Saver is the fourth generation of Michelin's so-called 'green tyres', which are designed to reduce rolling resistance and thus significantly improve fuel economy and reduce CO_2 emissions. It came out on top in the rigorous Which? examination into 165/70 R14 tyres, which rated all of them in terms of wet and dry handling, braking, external drive-by noise, fuel consumption and general wear.
