Perfetti Van Melle NA to promote marketing exec Sylvia Buxton to president ceo

Perfetti Van Melle North America has promoted a top marketing exec to president and ceo. Sylvia Buxton, v.p. of marketing, was set to take the helm of the Airheads maker Aug. 17. She succeeds Mehmet Yuksek, who announced he was stepping down in July. Buxton joined Perfetti Van Melle in 2016. She previously led strategy and marketing of Hershey's chocolate brands in Canada, Latin America and World Travel Retail. Buxton also has extensive innovation experience, successfully launching new brands and line extensions for both Hershey and Reckitt Benckiser.
