Seasonal lock-keepers have taken to the towpath across Scotland's 137-mile canal network.rnBritish Waterways Scotland has recruited 74 seasonal workers for the busy period of March to November, including 26 on the Caledonian Canal.rnThe job attracts a wide range of people from different backgrounds, from students to those nearing retirement and some who simply love working outdoors.rnFiona Lanigan, aged 26, enjoys the outdoor life. This is her third year as a seasonalrnlock-keeper on the Caledonian and she is responsible for operating the three Muirtown Locks and Swing Bridge near Inverness.
