Time was when people cruised the canals in every sort of craft from tiny cabin cruiser to massive ex-working narrowboats. Now, sadly, it often seems that you need to cash in your pension fund to buy a canal boat. And that it simply won't float unless it has granite worktops. All of which can be difficult when money is short. So it was good to see a company arrive at Crick with a small and reasonably affordable boat - and one that offered everything that you'd need to enjoy weekends and holidays on the canals.
