A kitchen sink, several motorcycles ranging up to a 1000cc monster, a WC (in a lovely shade of aubergine) and 80 tyres were among the haul at this year's BCN Cleanup weekend. Volunteers from the BCN Society, Waterway Recovery Group and IWA threw grappling hooks into the Tame Valley Canal and the Saltley Cut and pulled out enough junk to fill nine giant skips supplied by British Waterways.
