So, let's see... boaters have been using lower tax red diesel for decades, initially for both propulsion and heating, and latterly, thanks to Brussels, for heating only (and paying the higher duty of 'white' diesel for propulsion). While we obviously think of boaters and boating as a major part of British life, in reality it's relatively small in the scheme of everyday life in UK plc. Even so, boating remains important to the UK economy.
