Shetland project

Q I have recently bought a second-hand Shetland 2+2 cabin cruiser with a petrol outboard motor. A boat surveyor has picked up some of the work that's been done on it as 'not to approved requirements'. I'm a retired joiner with a workshop and will carry out the work with a friend, a qualified electrician. It will involve stripping out all the fitments and making new ones. I also plan to insulate and put in new panelling and flooring. The electrics are hit and miss and will require complete renewal; I also propose to have it wired for 240v landline.
