For several years now my wife and I have enjoyed at least one cruise a year along the delightful Ashby Canal. Our normal plan is to make use of the moorings at Market Bosworth so we can stock up with provisions if necessary, take a ride on the adjacent Battlefield Steam Railway or make use of our concessionary bus passes and take a ride into Leicester. Whilst this year Covid 19 has scuppered our day excursion plans we nevertheless decided to continue with an Ashby cruise in the Autumn sunshine.
