What a shame. It seems like a pretty easy fix that B.C. got right. If you have to pay first, then there is no reason to dash. I would suspect that B.C. hasn't had a single fatality like this since enacting their legislation. I hope the Ontario government doesn't spend too much time and money investigating a near no-brainer when a domestic resolution has presented itself. I went to B.C. three times this summer and, aside from remembering you have to prepay, it is exactly the same effort as before - one trip in and pump your gas.
