Australian stud breeder switches to Canadian Jersey genetics

The outstanding performance of Bridon Top Goal and Silver Sequel progeny under Australian conditions has convinced Western District stud breeder, John Rundle, of the profitability of Canadian Jersey genetics. So much so that John - a staunch supporter of U.S. genetics to date - will do the previously unthinkable and join more than two-thirds of his Boggabilla stud herd to Semex sires this year. Together with his son, Will, John runs about 150 stud animals on a 80ha property at Naringal, about 30km east of Warrnambool. John's other sons, Tom and Stewart, run a 250-cow commercial herd on a second property nearby.
