The most recent edition of Micam, held in Milan in February, attracted over 44,000 visitors. There were slightly less visitors from China and Hong Kong, due to dates that coincided with the Chinese New Year, and concerns about Brexit probably also discouraged visitors from the UK, but overall, more than 60% of attendees were from outside Italy. This confirms Micam as the most important international trade fair on the shoe show circuit. The 85th edition featured new product categories and new theme areas such as the Emerging Designer area, which was a big hit with visitors. There were also seminars to enlighten and parties enjoyed by all in attendance.
