The 2014 Edition of the Canadian Highway Bridge Design Code

CSA S6-14, Canadian Highway Bridge Design Code (Code), was recendy published by CSA Group (CSA) in February 2015. As in previous editions, the primary concern in the development, interpretation and application of this Code is the safety of the public, including that of construction and maintenance workers. This Code uses the limit states design approach and reflects current research activity and design conditions across Canada. Several design aspects are addressed for the first time in this edition and a more detailed treatment of many others is provided. This latest edition of CSA S6 is expected to be adopted by jurisdictions across Canada.
