摘要

Traffic data can be collected in various ways, and a common practice is roadside sensors, which is expensive because of infrastructure and planning costs, and it cannot be easily applied to new routes. In this article, we propose Web mining as an alternative, leveraging existing Internet sources to capture current traffic data. Commonly available application programming interfaces (APIs) are used to capture and store information. This approach is flexible and can be tailored to any route of interest, and it can also incorporate new data sources that affect commute times.
