SHS Synthesis and Shock Wave consolidation of Ceramic Compositie Powders

摘要

We present the results o experiments examining the composition and microstructure of and microstructure of advanced ceramics composites processed by the SHS process successfully converts the reactant mixture of carbon, titanium dioxide and aluminum into a composite of alumina, most likely in the Comrundum phase, embedded in a titanium carbide matrix.
