Low-end plotters get better

In a departure from nearly every previous plotter we've tested, the Designjet 500 does not support the standard HP-GL/2 or HP-RTL plotter languages natively, but instead supports an enhanced version of HP's small-format printer language, PCL3 GUI. So long as the plotter is used with fast computers running modern versions of Windows for which a driver is provided, you won't find this a limitation, since your workstation can almost always process the plot files faster than could an onboard controller.
