DBS Multichannel Share 30% in 2015

The U.S. satellite TV industry continued its to grow rapidly in 2005, although markedly slower than in the previous year. Despite lower net adds, especially at DIRECTV, improved metrics and robust revenue gains kept Wall Street happy. DBS subscribers grew 9.3% to more than 27 mil. vs. 14.9% in 2004. Overall satellite subs increased just 8.7% due to the decline in C-band. DBS shares got a nice pop after earnings and have continued to rebound, with DIRECTV up 19.6% since reporting 2/8 and EchoStar +9.5% over the same period.
