Comcast Turns In Record RGU Growth In Q1

Comcast led off the Q1 reporting period for MSOs 4/26 with strong financial results as its triple-play implementation hits its stride. It increased cable revenue by 14% to $2.8 bil. while margins improved from 39.2% to 39.9% YoY. Net income grew 80% to $837 mil. but includes a one-time gain related to the dissolution of its Texas Kansas City partnership with Time Warner. Excluding that effect, net income was $537 mil., a 22.6% increase, or 17 cents/share.
