After a 27-year boom, global trade is predicted to decline by 2.1% in 2009, according to the World Bank. But recent numbers suggest an even bigger drop is possible. Air cargo, which handles high-value items, was down 13.5% in November. From August to November, inflation-adjusted U.S. goods exports contracted by 11.9% and imports by 8.3%.
