With its sweeping views of Yangon's gem-encrusted Shwedagon Pagoda, the Esperado Lake View Hotel should be bustling. Yet two years after it was built, the four-star property sits half-empty for months at a time, according to manager Nero Kyaw Wai. "We aren't seeing the demand," he says.
