It says much of the low esteem in which London Transport held its hundreds of wartime utility double-deckers that only one of them has survived in preservation. G351, a Park Royal-bodied Guy Arab II, was built to the 'relaxed utility specification in 1945 and entered service in February 1946, after hostilities ended. Its upholstered seats, 10 opening side windows and glazed upper deck emergency door made it luxurious by comparison with many of the wooden-seated buses that preceded it over the previous four years.
