FIRST TEMPOS ENTER SERVICE WITH TRENT BARTON

The first six production examples of Optare's new Tempo full-size single-decker have entered service on two upgraded corridor routes to the east of Nottingham. Five of the 12m 42-seaters are in a green Best Impressions-designed livery for the Bingham-Nottingham service, which has been rebranded as Xprss. The sixth is in a gold Radcliffe Line livery, which also is worn by five-year-old refurbished Optare Solos. Both services run four times an hour, with Radcliffe Line offering extra journeys to East Bridgford, Bingham and Cropwell Bishop. There also are additional services on both routes on Friday and Saturday nights and on Sundays, with buses now running until 03.00.
