Export sales accounted for 1,069 Fleetlines, all double-deckers and all but 16 with Gardner engines. The only left-hand-drive examples, 40 in 1967/68 and 15 in 1969 and 1971, went to Cards, the British-connected operator in the Portuguese capital, Lisbon. Cards switched to the Fleetline after AEC ceased building the Regent V double-decker but became Portuguese owned in 1974 and stopped buying British.
