A YEAR AGO, MAN SPRUNG ONE of the bigger surprises at Euro Bus Expo by showing a left-hand-drive Lion's City single-decker with compressed natural gas (CNG) engine and announcing plans to rebuild its shaky position in the UK bus market by majoring on gas power. It was back this year with one of its first two right-hand-drive CNG-fuelled demonstrators - the other one had begun a six-week trial with Stagecoach in Liverpool from mid-September - and ambitious plans to sell 55 of them in the course of 2012.
