Midland Bluebird Axcess-ultralow

As one of the founder members of the Midland Bluebird Preservation Club, I would like to correct the description of the picture of Scania/ Wright Axcess-ultralow 578 (P578 DMS) in Preservation Update last month. The main reason this bus was preserved was because it was new to Midland Bluebird based at Larbert, It was one of a batch of four, 575-8, of which 575-7 were allocated to service 37 (Glasgow-Bo'ness), 578 to service 47 (Falkirk-Edinburgh via Bo'ness and South Queensferry). They all left and had a spell on Fife First, but on withdrawal of those services returned to Larbert and served there until withdrawn earlier this year.
