This year is the 60th since Brummies bade farewell to their last corporation trams, ushered into history by some of the 'New Look' Birmingham City Transport Standard Daimlers and Guys that took their place. So it was good to learn from Centra, the West Midlands PTE, that one of the Midland Metro trams has been repainted blue and cream and named after former Lord Mayor Theresa Stewart who in the 1980s helped campaign for government funding to build the Metro between Snow Hill and Wolverhampton.
