Iveco man is Optare's new CEO

A former Iveco executive, Enrico Vassallo (45), joined Optare on 5 September as its new chief executive officer. He succeeds Jim Sumner, who stepped down at the end of last year, the role having been filled in the interim by P. G. Nilsson, a Swedish-born executive with Optare's parent company, Indian bus and truck manufacturer Ashok Leyland, which has a 75.1% shareholding in the Yorkshire-based bus maker.
