Spring brings, among other things, the promise of the Buses April Fool spoof and last month we were given a treat. I am totally opposed to the New Bus for London 'Borismaster'. It was conceived for just about all the wrong reasons at a time when the real bus industry is facing enormous challenges. But the three versions ditching the stupid, dangerous open back platform make it look a bit like a proper bus. The New York version has hints of the Fifth Avenue Coach Company's 1930s double-deckers.
