DB operations shrink in its home market

Newly issued statistics show that Deutsche Bahn's German bus operation shrank by 4.8% during 2017.The annual facts and figures report from state railway DB - owner of UK-based Arriva - compares operations at the end of 2017 with the end of 2016, and reveals that the bus fleet declined from 12,871 vehicles to 12,256. Subcontractors provided more than 7,000 of these and absorbed most of the decline, ending the year with 470 fewer buses.
