INNOVATIVE DESIGN FOR PORTS AND INLAND WATERWAYS

Since its founding in 1927, Frederic R. Harris has instituted the Harris way - "creativity and innovation" - in the planning and design for ports, harbours and inland waterways paving the way to being in the forefront of port and harbour engineering. Creativity and innovation has always been achieved through close cooperation between Harris and the Client. Its founder, Admiral Frederic R. Harris, would be very proud of his company's achievements and the methods and techniques used in arriving at its present position. This paper presents the history of the company, its driving force to creativity and innovation and a compendium of selected projects.
