Racing across Nevada on an August afternoon, most average tourists require little convincing that they are in the driest state in the nation. But for the relatively small population of geothermists, this description applies only to such mundane features as lakes and rivers. The truly appreciative geothermal geologist finds the place is loaded with water—it's just too far underground or too remote and too hot for most people to enjoy.
