In the last GRC Bulletin we reported that the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) had awarded $31 Million to establish the initial phases of the Frontier Observatory for Research in Geothermal Energy (FORGE). In early August the DOE Geothermal Technologies Office (GTO) announced up to $18 million for another 32 projects that will advance geothermal energy development in the United States.
