Geothermal and other renewable energy sources used to generate electricity in Central America

Every year, the Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean (ECLAC, or CEPAL in Spanish) publishes reports (in Spanish) on the electricity market in Central America. The first one available on the Internet is from 2010. The report for 2016 is not available yet, but the one for 2015 is at/ handle/11362/40325. This note is based on these reports and focuses on the renewable energy sources used to produce electricity in Central America. The installed capacities and net generations for the period 1980-2015 are given in Table 1, while Table 2 lists the capacities and generations for the year 2015 for each country in the region*.
