This study shows that the work on the revision of the requirements applicable to moisture meters must separate the validation of the instrument from the validation of the conversion curves. Cooperation between the various regions is of great importance. France has recently started to revise its regulation on moisture meters taking into account the above-mentioned factors, and on the basis of the present ongoing revision of OIML R 59.
