The FAS Nuclear Notebook is researched and written by Hans M. Kristensen, director of the Nuclear Information Project with the Federation of American Scientists, and Matt Korda, a research associate with the project. This Nuclear Notebook reviews the status of France's nuclear arsenal and finds that the stockpile of approximately 300 warheads has remained stable in recent years, but that significant modernizations are underway with regard to ballistic missiles, cruise missiles, submarines, aircraft, and the nuclear industrial complex.
